Haden Freeman partners with Knowaste
Over the last four months we have been working with Manchester-based engineering design consultants, Haden Freeman, to shape a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the new Knowaste AHP recycling facility planned to open in Hayes, West London.
Haden Freeman uses the FEED study to assess the Knowaste technology and advise on any improvements. The study guarantees that the plant will process at least 40,000tpa of AHP material as well as produce recycled offtakes that will meet all the criteria required by our partners. It also guarantees that the capital cost is within the budget guidelines.
Haden Freeman has been able to deliver a flexible design study that can be altered to suit different business models, as well as different requirements in other countries. This study has become the focal point of Knowaste’s activity and will serve as a reliable blueprint for all our future projects in the UK and abroad.
Our process uses a diverse range of technologies to recycle AHP waste into useful material such as plastic pellets, used in manufacturing, and pet litter. Investment in our Intellectual Property (IP) by obtaining patents for processes, equipment and knowledge, protects the technology we’ve pioneered.
Stuart Dow, Technical Director at Haden Freeman, said: "We have extensive experience in crafting front end studies to determine the feasibility and cost of projects. The Knowaste FEED study was a very interesting project, involving many different engineering aspects from civil, structural, mechanical, electrical through to instrumentation design.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Knowaste and look forward to future site developments over the coming years.”
